Circulatory System:
The Cirulatory System is the most affected body system because it has to do with blood circiling, which is direclty connected the Sickle cells.
Basic definition: The circulatory system transports nutrients and oxygen to the body's cells, and carries the waste product of cellular respiration (carbon dioxide) to the lungs to be exhaled.
Function: It supplies oxygen and nutrients to our bodies by working with the respiratory system. At the same time, the circulatory system helps carry waste and carbon dioxide out of the body.
What the system consists of:
The circulatory system is made up of two systems, the pulmonary and the systemic circulation. The pulmonary circulation is a short loop from the heart to the lungs and back again, and the systemic circulation sends blood from the heart to all the other parts of our bodies and back again. The heart is the key organ in the circulatory system.
